Carolyn had a pretty bad day at the track today. They 'upgraded' the whoops to something a lot more difficult that are very difficult when going slow. With her being a beginner, she wasn't real fast with the 'old' whoops.
Her second time through, she hit some mud between the second and third whoop and tucked the front, causing a pretty good size bruise on her hip. Not a horrible crash but it really zapped her ambition for the day (well that and working the night before, so basically she had no sleep since 6PM the night before we went riding).
She went out one more time and had a problem towards the end of the whoops, she was still timid from the first crash and was going much too slow. She stalled and fell over with I think the footpeg hitting her boot pretty hard. Her Alpinestar Tech 6s have a pretty good gouge in the leather and it bruised her ankle/calf pretty bad.
Being the trooper that she is, I MADE her take a nap so she could ride later in the day and maybe have a little more energy. Unfortunately, she was ready to go just after the last beginner practice . We thought practice ended at 4 instead of 3 so she was ready to go again just a bit too late. But the trooper in her says she's still racing tomorrow... Man I love her.
